This week we took a step forward. In fact, we validated our initial solution. We want to remind you that we are focusing on language barriers, and we really wanted to examine whether an explanation of terms during a lecture can help students (from the French sector studying at the IDC International School) understand the material learned during a lecture.

First we asked the lecturer for a list of concepts in advance. We prepared Axure link for six of the concepts, three of them with an image and three only with text explenation. We sent the link to a French student (for communications, a third year) before the lesson, and explained to her that she could use the terms as she like. During the lecture we observed the way the student uses the terms and then we interviewed her.

The findings we have collected have brought a great deal of insights!

Here is a small link of our findings: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KSk3dmbHXha8ExUmhNIAc8Bxhug8cJ-a/view
