07 Speed Mentoring

Today we had a speed mentoring session. We set down with 4 different mentors and pitched them our idea. Then we discussed with them about the product got some feedback about it. Here are some of the main points that came up during the speed mentoring:

1) Define the time unit from which you're bringing the sentence. Is it 10 sec? 30 sec? the setting should be based on the tests and validation you'll perform.

2) Creat history or favorites for the miss understood terms.

3) Allow the user to swipe for earlier sentences in case he meant another one.

4) Think of a way in which the user can save his terms by courses and different context and not just as a list. It needs to be easy and quick, don't make him type in too much information.

6) Think of a way in which there will be no confusion between the record button and the 'catch app' button. The order of the actions should be clear and not confusing for the user.

7) Define which kind of content you want to deliver. Is it an image? translation? diagram? text? Whatever you choose make sure it achieves the purpose.

8)Think of how you can help the user farther more. Don't reduce your service only to the lecture. Maybe help him practice the terms he didn't get after-school time.

9) Use the ability to collect data. If several users didn't understand the same term, then you can identify a collective problem and think of a solution.

10) Enable users to mark a term they didn't get and return to it later. Give him the ability to choose.

We received a lot of interesting feedbacks. Some we thought about before and some were completely new and eye-opening. It was very productive. Our next step will be to examine their notes and decide what we want to amply. However, we see it as a huge progress in our process and we're looking forward to continuing developing our product.
